General
1. Booking Confirmation
Your booking is confirmed only after full payment, required deposit, or authorized payment method is received and a confirmation email, voucher, ticket, or booking reference is issued.
Guests are responsible for reviewing all booking details immediately after purchase, including the date, time, pickup location, passenger count, contact information, and any special requirements. Contact Summit Tours promptly if any information is incorrect.
2. Third-Party Booking Platforms
Summit Tours may sell tours and services through third-party booking platforms, including Viator and other authorized resellers. If you book through a third-party platform, your booking may also be subject to that platform’s terms, payment rules, cancellation process, refund timelines, customer service procedures, and dispute resolution process.
Where a third-party platform’s policies apply to payment collection, refunds, chargebacks, cancellations, amendments, or customer communications, those platform policies may control the applicable process. Summit Tours will honor the cancellation and refund terms displayed at the time of booking, subject to these terms and any applicable platform requirements.
3. Pricing, Taxes, and Fees
Prices are listed in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated. Prices may vary by date, group size, pickup location, tour option, vehicle type, availability, channel, or reseller.
Applicable taxes, booking fees, fuel surcharges, airport fees, park fees, entrance fees, gratuities, or other charges may be added during checkout or disclosed in the product description. Unless expressly stated otherwise, personal expenses, meals, attraction tickets, gratuities, baggage fees, and optional add-ons are not included.
Summit Tours reserves the right to correct pricing errors before confirming a booking. Once a booking is confirmed, the price shown on the confirmation will apply unless the booking is later modified.
4. Payment
Payment must be made using an accepted payment method at the time of booking unless Summit Tours has approved another arrangement in writing.
For bookings made through Viator or another reseller, that reseller may act as the merchant of record and may process payments, refunds, and receipts. Summit Tours may not have direct control over the timing of refunds or the payment method used by the reseller.
The cancellation policy shown at the time of booking applies to your reservation. Cancellation deadlines are based on the scheduled local departure time of the tour or service.
Unless a different cancellation policy is displayed on your booking page or confirmation, the following default policy applies:
- Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time are eligible for a full refund.
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled departure time are non-refundable.
- No-shows, late arrivals, missed pickups, and unused portions of a tour or service are non-refundable.
- Changes requested less than 24 hours before departure are subject to availability and are not guaranteed.
For bookings made through Viator or another reseller, cancellation requests must be submitted through the same platform used to make the booking unless Summit Tours instructs otherwise. Refunds for reseller bookings are processed according to the reseller’s policies and timelines.
Entrance fees and on some tours a boxed lunch may be included.
Our tours typically depart from the Frisco Transportation Center, but we also offer door-to-door pickup from hotels, lodges, and Airbnbs throughout Summit County — because the experience should start the moment we arrive, not after you’ve figured out how to get to us. Pickup details are confirmed at booking, and we’re always happy to answer questions about your specific location ahead of time.
Colorado mountain weather can change quickly, and many of our tours travel through higher elevations where temperatures may be cooler than expected. To help you stay comfortable and enjoy the day, we recommend bringing:
- Layered clothing — A light jacket, sweatshirt, or rain layer is helpful, even in summer.
- Comfortable walking shoes — Some stops may include short walks, uneven surfaces, gravel paths, or scenic overlooks.
- Sunglasses and sunscreen — The Colorado sun is strong, especially at higher elevations.
- Water bottle — Staying hydrated is important when traveling in the mountains.
- Snacks — Light snacks are helpful, especially for longer tours or guests with dietary needs.
- Camera or phone — There will be plenty of scenic photo opportunities.
- Small personal bag — Please keep belongings compact so everyone has comfortable space in the vehicle.
- Motion sickness medication, if needed — Mountain roads may include curves, elevation changes, and scenic passes.
- Government-issued ID — Recommended for adults, especially if your tour includes optional stops where identification may be required.
Please dress for the day’s weather and keep in mind that conditions can be different between town, mountain passes, and park areas. Large luggage, oversized bags, coolers, and bulky items may not be permitted unless approved in advance.
We service Summit County, Colorado for our Shared Ride Tours. Private Tours can start and end from any location in the Vail Valley area or Summit County area.
Custom tour requests will be responded to within 24 hours.
Weather Policy
Colorado mountain weather can change quickly, and tours may operate in a variety of conditions, including rain, snow, wind, cooler temperatures, and cloudy skies. Light or moderate weather does not automatically cancel a tour.
Guest safety is always our top priority. Summit Tours monitors weather, road conditions, park access, traffic, and any official closures before and during each tour. If conditions are determined to be unsafe, or if roads, attractions, scenic areas, or park access are closed, Summit Tours may modify the itinerary, adjust the route, delay the start time, reschedule the tour, or cancel the tour.
If Summit Tours cancels a tour due to unsafe weather, road closures, or conditions outside of our control, guests will generally be offered the option to reschedule or receive a refund, subject to the booking platform’s cancellation and refund process.
If a tour is able to safely operate and the guest chooses not to attend due to weather, the standard cancellation policy applies. No-shows, late arrivals, and unused portions of a tour are non-refundable.
We recommend dressing in layers and bringing a jacket, comfortable shoes, sunscreen, sunglasses, and water so you are prepared for changing mountain conditions throughout the day.
